Insurance for parent or guardian

The ITESO Parent/Guardian Life Insurance is a way to guarantee the completion of your studies should your parents or guardians die.
Validity of the policy
 The parent or guardian will be covered automatically starting from the date the enrollment fee is paid or advance payment is made to ITESO.
The validity of this policy is annual, as long as the costs corresponding to the Spring Term and Fall Term are covered.
Accepted ages:
For new students, the insured party must be younger than 65.
Automatic cancellation: 71 years
Coverage for:
Death (up to the age of 70)
Payment of the insured amount for total and permanent disability caused by accident, with a three-month waiting period (up to the age of 70).
15 thousand pesos in aid to the insured party, for the spouse's funeral expenses.
To be eligible for this insurance, you must comply with the following requirements:
Indicate the insured party's complete name and date of birth for ITESO records.
The insured party must not be over 65 years old.
Insured amount
In the event of the insured party's death, ITESO will issue the student a certificate guaranteeing the completion of his/her undergraduate studies, in the understanding that s/he must pass his/her courses in the normal course of time in order to earn the credits pending in his/her study program.
Repeated credits, extended semesters or credits for different majors after the death of the insured party will not be covered. The insurance includes 110 thousand pesos that will be paid to the student after s/he submits to the insurance company the documentation required for compensation. This quantity is paid once per insured party regardless of the number of children.
Medical tests.
 The insurance policy is issued without the need for medical examination; preexisting diseases are excluded.
Suicide
Coverage after two continuous years under the policy.
Insurance premium
Cash. Included in the enrollment fee.
Cancellations
 There are no cancellations under the policy, therefore there are no premium refunds, since the premium is considered earned throughout the validity of the policy.
Compensations.
If you wish to request a compensation package that is different from the one indicated in this program, consult with ITESO's Office of Administration and Finance.
