Center for Technology and Innovation Management
The mission of this center is the research, design and development of projects that link the university community to busi- nesses, entrepreneurs, business associations, and the government.
It is located within the ITESO Technology Park, a specialized working space that contributes to regional development by nurturing entrepreneurship and innovation. Here, professors and students work together with startups, companies from different economic sectors or undertake their own business project.
High-Tech Business Incubator: Receive specialized guidance to start up your own business with support from ITESO, or get help in finding sources of financing (government funds or risk capital) to take an existing project to the next level. Support for small and medium-sized companies to enhance their levels of competitiveness in the short term. In addition, a diagnosis of their technological capacities makes it possible to structure foundations for their sus- tainable development. The Accelerator provides in finding financial support for the program, as well as participation in business networks, contacts to obtain risk capital, and relationships that can open the door to international markets.
A physical space that encourages synergy between ITESO, the productive sector, and the government through acade- mic collaboration agreements that focus primarily on the fields of electronics, software, aeronautics, food engineer- ing, and design. It also offers services such as office leasing, work stations, phone, internet access and the use of laboratories, and other facilities of ITESO.
Competitive Intelligence Unit:
This unit collaborates with companies to obtain information, analyze it, and propose strategies to meet objectives and enhance competitiveness. It makes use of information services to gain insight into markets and the latest trends in technology, which gives companies a constantly updated view of the competitive environment, enabling them to achieve better business results.
Knowledge Transfer Unit:
Promotes and facilitates the generation and protection of intellectual property. Supports the transfer of university technology to companies to increase their competitiveness through product, service and process innovation. It also provides guidance for applying to IMPI (Mexican Institute of Intellectual Property, in its initials in Spanish) for the protection of intellectual property.
Project Management Unit:
Offers consulting and follow-up services so that projects are completed on time, according to specifications, with- in budget and with expectations met, using solutions and tools based on the standards proposed by the PMI®.
