Studying at ITESO means growing and learning as part of an exuberant ecosystem—natural, technological, academic and human.

A university forest

The ITESO campus, inaugurated in 1963, has always been known for its profound respect for the environment.

Its 40 hectares are home to nearly 4,000 trees, dozens of plant and animal species that find here an ideal setting in terms of humidity and professional care to develop properly.

ITESO's landscaped areas surround classrooms, auditoriums, athletic facilities, the library, courtyards,
administrative buildings and high-tech laboratories, and offer shelter for flora and fauna to reproduce; they also help to reduce pollution and regulate the moisture and temperature levels of the southern part of the city.
