ITESO and Royal Roads University Strengthen Relations

Virtual exchange in the context of the health contingency opens the doors for new ways to promote internationalization at ITESO. With the support of a grant from the Canadian Government, ITESO is currently collaborating with Royal Roads University, whose campus is in Victoria, British Columbia.

The intention is to strengthen the competencies of its undergraduate students and provide them with greater opportunities for their academic development. One of the strategies consists in the design of a Professional Application Project (PAP) that includes the participation of students from both ITESO and RRU. Another feature of the collaboration consists of an intensive basic Spanish course for Canadian students, carried out in virtual mode and taught by ITESO. At the same time, academics from both universities will teach a course with a collaborative and online international learning component (COIL). The three strategies commenced in January 2021 and the collaboration will go on for at least one semester, possibly longer.
